Slow Down Day

I woke up earlier than required and could hear a slightly fainter version of bass pumping. I think the neighbour was just watching TV this time, I’m glad they seem to have adjusted the volume downward for the time being. After rolling around for a half hour I leapt from my bed into the shower. Instead of following the normal course of events I instead moved to my office and tackled some Musings drafts. My sisters like for me to upload the Family Feast episodes as soon as possible for their review. I got that up and cleared the queue for my MSC challenges, a handful of days worth. By the time that was all done it was after ten and my guts were singing for some sustenance. But still I abstained. It was close to one by the time I took action. Not wanting to cook anything myself for some reason I grabbed the iPad Mini and ordered some Pizza Pizza appetizers again.

Recycled photo alert! No Dr Pepper or wedges were consumed in this sitting though.

I don’t suspect that I will order the double size of cauliflower bites again. This round was somewhat terrible. The saying goes that you often live long enough to see your heroes become villains, well it is trye of the cauliflower bites in this order. The chicken bites were excellent luckily. I dipped the popcorn chicken in my Frank’s buffalo sauce and it tasted like I was eating chewy salt. I drank deeply of three pints of water during the course of the meal and would continue to imbibe heavily the remainder of the day from the tap the in the kitchen. After my feed I cleaned up the meager mess and set up camp in the living room. It was warmer than I like but I decided to gut it out rather than adjust the AC, I’d rather sweat than give more putridly unnecessary money to this excuse of a government through their mockery of a carbon tax. So I sweatedly put on some YouTube. I watched an hour long video about ex-NHLers playing golf and then I flipped over to Netflix to chill. I watched Army of the Dead while the sun was still out. It was interesting. I have further thoughts but in the spirit of not spoiling anything I’ll share them with you privately if you wish to know. They are not profound by any means. When that was over I watched the Leafs triumph. The game started off weekly but they totally redeemed themselves and evened the series. Only mild feelings of dread remain after the first two games of the series now. Next I watched Lost Girls & Love Hotels, it was not a movie but a film. It left me feeling uneasy and distraught. I can’t tell if the acting was good or the story or the directing but either way, it left me in a weird mood at the end, the mark of good entertainment, when it can affect you like that. I decided it was close enough to bedtime so I retired with that weird mood smeared across my brain. When I didn’t fall asleep fast enough I watched a few comedic YouTube videos to cleanse my palette and that did the trick, allowing me to fade to oblivion. It was a very slow day, with little accomplished.
