Tent-Venture - Episode 19
I’m posting the following journey undertaken by my friend Theodore Complete on their behalf.
Tent-venture episode 19
Day 112 (Sunday)
Sadie - flowering day 56/63
Theoretically it’s the last week of flowering so next weekend should be harvest day. It’s exciting and I keep telling myself to wait longer. Hopefully some of the lower bud sites develop a bit more before chopping. I’m going to go in for a closer look tomorrow.
Day 116 (Thursday)
I’ve peeled in and removed the odd leaf but otherwise just left the girl alone this week. Today it’s time for a thorough check in and action plan.
I took a close look at the buds to see if the trichromes were turning, and much like Delilah it seems the tops are more advanced than the lower sites. I’m going to skip the staggered harvest I did with Delilah just because I don’t want to fuss around keeping two calendars for drying and curing, and I didn’t find much more than a marginal increase in yield anyway.
I plan on using the tent to dry in to best control the drying conditions. I did not enjoy fussing around with that extra box.
There are bright green portions swelling up and fattening the colas. The site down the stems from the main buds have more of a popcorn look.
Day 118 (Saturday)
The pistils are still not fully browned all over and are still quite white on lower sites. There are also portions of the larger flowers that are swelling up and getting a bright green hue to them.
I’ve been staring for long periods at different parts of the plant and scouring the internet for advice, but my gut tells me waiting a bit more is the way to go. But not too long.. ugh, I can’t wait to get enough experience for this not to stress me out.
