The good times continue to roll out for the boys of summer. I have recently completed my book on the Greeks. I learned little, mostly wicked cool names for future inventions slash MSN messenger. The latter seems to be a more probable destination for the unleashing of such monstrous and awesome names. The inhabitants of my dwelling are absent for the evening, even the bonus ones. That's right our weekend guests spilled over into the week. They had the notion of attending a rather large concert in the Big Smoke. It will undoubtedly be a good show. I however don't share their enthusiasm for music and thusly have stayed behind to hold down the fort. Well at best I am doing an excellent job of holding down my chair. Dave has yet to send me the photos I have taken of my beastly computer so alas I am thwarted again in my ongoing quest to provide its visage to the world for its lusty viewing pleasures. On a happier note my boss is gone for the week and I have unofficially assumed the reins of our operation. I have ordered my one employee or coworker, if you want to be a fool about it, to drive all over this great nation, mainly south central Ontario. He has pinkeye so I don't really want to be around him longer than I have to. From what I'm told its quite contagious. I'm hoping that someone names a band pinkeye if it hasn't already been done. This would be a chance for one of my non-existent readers to inform me about that. You don't need to worry antimattr, I know you're a faithful reader. If the Sexy Bitch is still out there he can give it a shot. Other than that my once boisterous list may have thinned significantly.

This past weekend as mentioned previous we had a hoot of a time. On Friday night we received our guests as we like to do. Saturday we saw the new Batman picture...it was awesome. I feel that it set a new precedent for super hero movies that will be harder to attain. Mindblowingly awesome. That night we went to the Hammer and the two concert enthusiasts went to see John K Samson in concert. (He opened for his wife at a small club.) They felt it was awesome. For those that don't know he is the lead dude of the Weakerthans. I don't really mind them all that much. After that we went to a house and watched some dudes smoke a bunch of marijuana and carry on like fools, it was funny. I'm glad I'm off the drink, being sober for that kind of thing is far more humorous. One of the dudes smoked more than he could handle and locked himself in his room and passed out. We had to go outside and check through the window with a flashlight to see if he was still alive. He was indeed breathing but we stayed until 2 am to make sure the dink was alive. He survived the night. We slept to noon (first time in a while) and then laughed it up for the day. Animation Domination of Fox prevailed as the evenings entertainment and then off to bed to prepare for the upcoming work day. I totally dominated the work today. I don't know what that means either, don't worry you're not losing your mind. Well cheeseheads, this is me signing off.

Well today was a good day; for the most part. I went through the work day as if I was hammered. I blame the lack of sleep I've gotten recently, or in this case haven't gotten. That of course is due to the insufferable heat that plagues my very existence. Although recently the heat has been backing down. Looks like I've weathered the so-called storm or won this round or what have you. I'm sure the sun god Apollo will have more fiery hell to unleash upon inhabitants of this planet we call Earth before the winter solstice is upon us. (translation: its going to probably get hot again before winter)  On a totally unrelated story I'm reading a book on Greek mythology. Its quite good, to fully value it you have to have precursorary (not a word) knowledge of the Greeks. I, of course, have such knowledge and thusly can enjoy it to the fullest level. Enough of that though. On to the current events. I smoked a stogie today (cigar) and whilst doing so got to meet some neighbours. I showered to remove the stink and thoroughly cleaned my mouth and now here I am. On a side note I had a rough time after work. I came home and played a video game. I'm usually pretty good at it. But today I could do nothing right. I was getting pretty frustrated. I was also sweating and for some reason my nose and eyes were really itchy. Things escalated fast and before I knew it the controller was on the floor and everything was turned off in a fit of rage. I then came upstairs and tried to learn a song on the guitar to no avail. My tension meter was nearing a sweltering high. I made a mad dash for food and then all was well. I don't even know what I'm typing here. I'm going to retire to the bed for some needed shut eye. Later dudes and chicks.

I'm back baby. Online and ready to shine. My new dominator computer is in and its ready to light it up. This past week has been a scorcher. Life is getting uncomfortable here due to the unbearable heat. Its no doubt only going to get worse. I wish it would cool down some. I'm having trouble interfacing this new computer with my old one but my confidence is high that I can get the job done. Its so hot by the way that my guitar broke the other day due simply to the heat. I managed to fix it today and got some other things done that I've been meaning to tackle. I was able to acquire some DVD-Rs today so I'm nearly ready to step into the world of DVD burning. I wish I knew of some good ripping software. If anyone knows of some then go ahead and let me in on that. I've been trying to clean the house and get my room back in order but the heat is melting my ambition away. I just want to lay around but even that is uncomfortable due to the heat. I swear, its ruining my life. I could ramble on about nothing here for most of the day but I'd better get back to something constructive, like learning the guitar. I can get more songs off the interweb now that its been resurrected from its watery grave. Speaking of watery graves, Dave's iPod got a brief shower the other day by the window. The prognosis is not good. This could result in a tragedy of mystical proportions. The cat is in the henhouse and the rooster is flying along is a coupe. Ah, word play, how I missed thee. There is some evidence that my brain is truly melting in my skull. Stupid heat, curse you for now. That is all I can muster.

Now then, let's get down to business. New month, new motif. Actually it will be pretty much the same motif as it always was. And to that effect let's get it going. We had a solid crowd out this weekend. It allowed us to have a six man poker match. It was great fun. I skipped the activities of the day by not going to wonderland. I've never been and never want to go. That sort of thing is not my bag. I'm not into rides or waterworks. Nor am I into the eleventeen year old girls that are always there. Seeing pubescent girls in thongs and other such items of the scantily clad just turn my stomach. There ought to be a law that such revealing and tight clothing should be reserved for those of a certain age, maybe 19 or 21. Its just wrong for girls younger than that to be dressing in that fashion. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it. This week should be a gem, hoping for good times and good weather. Hope all is well. That's all I have time for. Later.
